Belle had her first Rabies vaccine in February 2004. Her second one was given in March
2005.
Her problem showed up, within a month's time of her Rabies booster, with some slight
hair loss at the perimeter of her nose leather. Then her nose leather started to look strange and scaled. By June
2005, her nose appeared as in photo below...
I knew that "traditional" treatment for this would have been steroids and possibly antibiotics.
I no longer use any allopathic treatments for my dogs, so Belle was placed into Classical Homeopathic treatment in mid-June.
And, of course, her Raw Meaty Bone Diet was continued.
Although Belle's condition seemed to wax and wane with her CHOM treatment...the problem seemed
to get worse as time went by...as you can see, her condition has caused total hair loss and scabs on the bridge of her nose,
and now the areas around both her eyes are involved...sigh.

Nov. 22, 2006
By November 2006, Belle's condition was causing swelling around her eyes and nose areas.
It was also spreading between her front legs, around some nipples and on the lower front legs as well.

Because of her spreading & worsening condition, my vet advised me to have some biopsies
done. We did this to rule out a skin infection. The test showed that she did NOT have a skin infection...sigh. Her bloodwork was excellent, there was no visible internal
damage to organs.

Jan. 2007 - SAD eyed Belle
These following photos are fairly graphic...if you have a delicate stomach, please prepare
yourself for sadness and upset. It has taken me months for me to be able to view these photos again...as it brings my
grief to a "head". But I feel that other dog owners and lovers need to know the "damage" that can be triggered
or caused by vaccines...

As you can see, Belle has lost most of her body hair...by next month, it was approximately
a 95% hair loss...along with a big loss of body condition, even though I was feeding her as often as 6 times a day...

At this stage...Belle has lost almost all her hair...and is now oozing fluid through
her skin all the time...

2/20/07 - Sad Decision is made...
On February 24, 2007 Belle was gently assisted "over the Bridge"...to be once again, well and
healthy and to be with my husband, Gene, who had passed from Prostate Cancer
at home on Nov. 1, 2006.
Tears are flowing as I write this...but I know it
was the best decision for her...
even though my heart will
ALWAYS ache...
Be WELL, be with Daddy, wait for me &
play with the Lord's sheep...
Love always, Mom
"I make a solumn promise to you, Belle...
I will NEVER vaccinate another
dog/puppy, livestock or me in my lifetime!"
